About us

 A bit about me.

I am the owner, designer as well as the ‘Chief Stitch’. I’ve been sewing practically my entire life, over 50 years and I am still passionate about it. I create various kits and patterns, all made with care, attention to detail and some them are a bit quirky. I always use the best quality fabrics and all kits contain fabric together with comprehensive pattern/sewing instructions.  I started doing a few Craft Fairs and decided to start my own business doing something that I love and enjoy immensely.  Creating and making up my kits is a lovely way to encourage people of all ages to sew. I also knit, embroider, do tapestries, in fact, if it involves a needle then I am generally involved.

I’ve been sewing for as long as I can remember. My interest in sewing started when I was about 5 years old, when my great grandmother gave me a shoe box containing a pair of scissors, needle, cotton and some scraps of fabric to make clothes for my dolls. I learnt to sew on a Singer hand and treadle machines.  

I am and always have been very passionate about sewing. Over the years I’ve made wedding dresses, ball gowns, lots of clothes for adult and children, house furnishings i.e. curtains, cushions tablecloths etc. Sewing is such a pleasure, very rewarding when you see a finished item and can save you a lot of money, whether it be home decorations, clothes, bags or any other items.
